3. East - West Meeting of Cojep International was realized in 23 – 26 October, in Mardin. During this meeting, which lasts 3 days, NGO representatives from 23 countries, important academicians from different countries and Turkey, and students of Artuklu University of Mardin discussed different problems in the base of East and West relations. Is culture argument or alliance? EU process of Turkey, manner of west media and politicians concerned with Muslims were examined.

Cojep International’s East-West meeting was held in Mardin-Turkey from 23 to 26 October. Nearly 200 participants, international speakers from 22 country and Turkish dignitaries took part in 3 days proceeding.
Many important issues relating to East-West relations were discussed. For example, civilizations – clash or alliance, Turkey’s position in EU and western media and politicians’ treatment of Muslim minorities came under intense scrutiny.
